Kyutwo's News

First, I'd like to thank everyone who voted. I never expected it to get this popular. I was literally speechless seeing it on the Front Page. I was just hoping for a trophy. XD Didn't think I'd get one though.

Also, to answer this question... the credits music is Deathborn's theme from F-Zero. It's a particular kind of music that I've always considered to be the Spirit Stars theme music when I heard it. It has a nice beat, but a dark mysterious tone which contradicts the cute feminine quality in the girls. (It's like watching an angel dance to some devil music.) The dance itself was necessary as it portrays the girls as dancers, which is supposed to be their main occupation. It took 3 weeks to a month to finish, but I believe it was worth it.

In actuality, this wasn't the original idea I wanted to use as the first animation. I had another idea, and I still plan to make it. However, I decided that it was best to introduce the characters first. The topic requires a certain perspective before discussion, so I came up with a simpler idea for a first animation, something everyone can relate to.

Just as the dance was necessary, the after credits, I feel, was also necessary. Why? Well, we've all seen videos of the Duck Hunt Dog getting shot. Why not add a twist? Also, it was necessary to add some consequence; otherwise, it'd just seem like they can get away with whatever they want. So I thought, "What should happen? Oh! The game should replace the dog." So what was literally the very first character to cross my mind? "... Wesker!" And I immediately burst out laughing. The idea of replacing the insulting laugh with Wesker's line, "Poor performance, indeed!", should you miss a duck. But even more insane was the idea of countering the "Shoot the Dog" solution because it is "feeble" to try and shoot Wesker. Plus, Wesker is a figure of power which immediately overturns the girls' position back to being at the mercy of someone else, because no matter what, someone's always better than you.

I feel a success in making this. Not just for the award, but because the animation seemed to spark an interest in the characters themselves. I was hoping it would; that was its purpose. (This was not about rehashing a tired joke. >_> Otherwise, the dance was pointless.)

I wish I had more content. I used to have a lot of artwork, before I suffered two hard drive crashes. So I thought about this. I've recently been playing Metroid: Other M. Why did I not play this game when it was released? (Points to Spirit Stars) So, I played it, and like I always do, I avoid any spoilers about any game to savor the surprise. Yes, I am a Metroid fan, but more of a fan of the gameplay and puzzles rather than the actual storyline; although, I have always respected Samus as a serious bad-ass female hero, (the word "heroine" sounds too feminine for Samus) despite her sex appeal. So what is my reaction to Other M? Well, I'll put it to you this way. This is the first time in my life I have ever... and I mean EVER wanted to make a parody of a Metroid game. So since I want to make more Spirit Stars content as well, I'm considering making a Spirit Stars parody of Other M. This would be a web comic though. Just considering for now, though I am leaning towards starting it within a few days. I hope this strikes some interest.

I was made aware and I fixed the problem. I'm waiting for Newgrounds to update the new version.

This is a preview of it, though I'm not quite finished with it.

I'll try to keep working on this as much as I can.

Hello, it's Kyutwo / Q2. Used to go by "Q2 the 5th Mewtwo". Now I just simply go by the pronounciation of Q2.

I've always been to this place but this is the first time I decided to contribute my animations to the site. "Aeris Dies" being the first.

About me, I'm an animation graduate with too many ideas, so it's about time I let some loose. One of them, a fandub instead of animation, was The DubSpace Emissary.

Currently I want to work on original characters for animated shorts while I work on a major animation idea I've had for the past few years.

I currently need female voices for these 4 characters. I might extend auditions if I feel I haven't gotten the right voices yet.

That's all I can think of for now. See you guys, later.
